Who we are
The Springdale Public Library Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that contributes to the Springdale Public Library’s mission to entertain, inspire, connect, and inform our community.
The Foundation was established in 2001 and is governed by a volunteer board of directors consisting of the membership of the current Library Board of Trustees. The board oversees the Foundation’s efforts to support and promote the Springdale Public Library and to receive, maintain, and administer funds and/or property received as donations or gifts for the benefit of the Library and its patrons.
Recent Projects
-
Library of Things
In 2024, the Foundation purchased a circulating collection of tools, toys, games, technology, and more for Springdale Public Library patrons. Patrons can learn a new skill, try out an activity, or complete a task around the house by checking out items just like they would a book.
-
Expansion Design
In 2022, the Foundation funded the development of a design concept for a new programming space where our courtyard was located. It’s currently under construction, so come by and watch us grow!

The Foundation acknowledges and celebrates the dedication and hard work of our outstanding professional library staff by funding an annual staff luncheon and various staff appreciation events held throughout the year.
-
Summer Reading
There’s no better place to be than the Library during our annual Summer Reading Program! The Foundation provides funding for performers and prizes for readers for this popular family-friendly event.
